I’m Eoin Gahan. As an economist, I’ve been working for a long time on different aspects of national and international policies in the areas of industrialisation, competitiveness, foreign direct investment, trade, regulation and technology. I’m fascinated by the interactions between these policy areas, and the way in which they’re converging. I was a Senior Fellow in the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government in the Harvard Kennedy School from 2013-2015. Before that I worked at national level in Ireland on all of the above questions, and also on the business changeover to the euro. I ‘ve been a co-founder of an international consultancy on regulatory reform, and I also had many interesting years working for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation. I’ve been a consultant to the OECD, the World Bank, UNIDO and others. The website is intended to show you some of my more recent work and my ideas about the present and the future of the world economy.
